Radiological (Ionizing Radiation) Surveys

Radiological surveys involve conducting radiation assessments on environments that are prone to elevated levels of Ionizing Radiation. In the mining sector, such waste storage facilities as rocks dumps, overburden dumps, tailings dumps, and scrap yards may have levels of ionizing radiation higher than background levels.

Since there are people working in such environments and communities in surrounding areas who could be affected by radiation, it is imperative that radiation levels are monitored, and mitigation measures instituted. METS has state-of-the-art equipment to conduct Radiological Surveys in the mining, manufacturing and construction industries.
